Dewpoint transmitters are increasingly playing a more important role in many industrial applications, such as drying processes, air pressure pipelines, compressed air systems, and much more. A dew point sensor is directly installed in the pipe or by means of a sampling system. The latter is needed if the dew point temperature has to be measured at standard conditions: atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature. Inline Dewpoint Transmitters

The Shaw Moisture Meters Model SDT are compact, two wire, 4–20 mA dewpoint transmitters designed to meet the stringent demands of industrial applications. The dew point transmitter unit is fully self-contained within a robust housing, providing weatherproof protection to IP66 / NEMA 4X. Utilizing the Ultra High Capacitance Shaw Moisture Sensor, various dewpoint ranges are available, covering an overall range from -100 to +20 °C (-148 to +68 °F) dew point temperature. The Model SDT is supplied ready to use, with a calibration certificate traceable to National and International humidity standards.

The inline dew point sensors Series EE354 are developed for monitoring dew point temperature down to -20 °C (-4 °F) dew point. The high measurement accuracy of ±1 °C (±1.8 °F) in the typical working range of a refrigeration dryer makes the EE354 the ideal solution.

The dew point sensors Series EE355 are developed for monitoring dew point temperature down to -60 °C (-76 °F) dew point. The high measurement accuracy of ±2 °C (±3.6 °F) presents its versatility to the OEM market.

For both, integration into the measurement task is considerably simplified thanks to its highly compact design and exceptional robust stainless steel housing. The measurement values of the dew point sensor are issued on an analog 4-20 mA and a digital Modbus RTU output. Furthermore, excellent long-term stability and temperature compensation across the entire measurement range are important features of the dew point sensor series EE354.

The exact monitoring of dew point temperature in compressed air systems, dryers for plastic, and other industrial processes is becoming increasingly more important. The inline dew point meter, Series EE371, with a measuring range of -60 to 60 °C (-76 to 140 °F) is the ideal solution for such applications.
Dewpoint Transmitters with Remote Probe

The dew point monitor Series EE35 with a remote probe are based on a functional, user-friendly housing concept, and on the proven polymer humidity sensors of the HC Series. A specially developed auto-calibration process enables measurements in a measurement range of -60 to 60 °C (-76 to 140 °F) dew point temperature, with a measurement accuracy of ±2 °C (±3.6 °F). Two freely configurable and scalable analogue outputs are available for the two measurement values (Td, T). An optional hygrostat output, which can be set by means of a potentiometer, provides an alarm signal in a simple way when a threshold of the permitted dew point is exceeded. An optional display for the measurement values and the associated MIN/MAX values allows a quick overview of the current situation.

The core of the transmitter is the monolithic measurement cell type, HMC01, developed in thin-film technology.
